2 Samuel 15:6
Influence = Impact
Absalom didn’t just wake up in rebellion he positioned himself. He stood at the gate, spoke to people in their pain, made them feel seen, heard, understood and little by little, he gained their trust. His influence grew before his true intentions were ever revealed.
This is why healing matters. Absalom had the gift to put him in position, but he wasn’t healed. Unhealed, gifted people are dangerous. What isn’t healed doesn’t just disappear—it gets stored, and eventually it gets weaponized.
Today was a reminder that we can’t ignore the small things in us. The hurt, the offense nor the quiet wounds we think we’ve buried. Because what we ignore today, we will be forced to confront tomorrow. Absalom had the gift. He had the influence. He had the people. But he didn’t have the integrity to sustain it.
And that’s the connection for us—you can have influence, you can have a voice, you can even have a crowd, but if your heart isn’t right, if your motives aren’t pure, if your healing isn’t real..it won’t last.
Real leadership isn’t about gathering people. It’s about covering them. Holding them. Leading with integrity—even when it’s not popular, even when the crowd walks away.
